Overall Rating | ![]() | A charming and friendly boutique hotel in one of the nicest parts of Copenhagen. Its location sandwiched between other buildings means that many of the rooms don't have much of a view however. Most places you may want to visit on a short break are within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. |
Rooms | ![]() | The Large Deluxe rooms we booked were a decent size but not huge and decorated in modern Danish style. You wouldn't want a lot of luggage in a Medium Deluxe however (we had one of these too). The biggest downside with all three of our rooms was the windows opened onto brick walls so no view and no light. |
Beds | ![]() | Beds were somewhere in the mid-range of comfortable. Don't expect a 5-star hotel bed experience however. As is typical in this part of the world, individual duvets are the standard. |
Food & Beverage | ![]() | Breakfast was an excellent selection of the usual suspects with the Danish specialities and several different dining rooms. The lobby bar was warm and inviting after a day in the cold. We didn't have an opportunity to sample the restaurant but if you like seafood, this would seem to be a popular spot. |
Cleanliness | ![]() | No complaints although they could have removed the used wine glasses that remained for the duration of our stay. |
Service | ![]() | Warm and friendly Danish service from the outset. |
Location | ![]() | This area is an excellent base for exploring Copenhagen and if you are on a short break like we were, a great location from which to walk to many of the places you want to see. |
Amenities | ![]() | Everything you need for a few nights including the essential wine glasses. It does have a popular roof-top bar which I'm sure is great fun when the weather is nice. |
Description Accuracy | ![]() | Overall, what was described and the hotel website's pictures were accurate. Just check the windows in the room you have booked. |
Extras | ![]() | The Copenhagen summer is probably perfect for a rooftop bar but the big leather sofas and open fire in the lobby is the business for the colder months. |
Overall value | ![]() | The hotel was well-priced compared to similar boutique hotel options although there are some very stylish places to stay in Copenhagen. Denmark is not a cheap destination by any means but this hotel seems to occupy a comfortable space in the market. |
Would I stay again? | ![]() | Yes but with so many other excellent choices in Copenhagen, I would probably opt for somewhere with better views and a notch up on the room interiors. |
