A conveniently located, well-priced boutique hotel with a relaxed and comfortable vibe.

Overall Rating

Miss Clara is a comfortable and relaxed mid-priced boutique option. It is centrally located albeit on a busy thoroughfare with many of the places you will want to visit within walking distance but not exactly on your doorstep. The rooms were simple but comfortable and they have a nice restaurant and bar area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Overall, very little to complain about.

Rooms

As noted, the rooms are simply decorated with a little wear-and-tear in places but spacious and comfortable. Double-glazing keeps them warm and the traffic noise out. Nice amenities in the bathroom and decent quality shower.

Beds

Very comfortable beds even if I still struggle a little with the European single duvet thing!

Food & Beverage

Breakfast options were solid rather than exceptional but enough variety to keep everyone happy. We didn't eat at the restaurant otherwise however both the ambience and menu looked appealing in the evening. A decent bar area although it was a little cold when we were there and could use a little softening.

Cleanliness

No complaints with the cleaning although housekeeping was a little patchy with replacing amenities.

Service

Aside from a fairly long wait to check in while the front desk assistant finished a lengthy phone call, the service was excellent. They were very helpful during the booking process when we needed multiple rooms to accommodate our teenage children and also when the same children left things in their room that needed to be posted back to the UK.

Location

The location is reflected in the price but if you don't mind walking, most things are within a reasonable distance of 30-40 minutes and it's a great way to see the city. Otherwise, Ubers and taxis are easy to catch from the hotel. Despite being on a busy road, you didn't notice as soon as you stepped inside.

Amenities

All the basics were available including wine glasses without having to order from the bar (always a win). For a short break our needs were simple but no doubt reception would have procured anything else we needed.

Description Accuracy

The accommodation and rooms were as described and no surprises.

Extras

There was a nice welcome gift of Swedish Fish sweets and local toffee which was excellent!

Overall value

Good value overall and in-line with what is on offer.

Would I stay again?

With many other options in Stockholm I would probably opt for something on the water but there's no other reason not to come back.
